A local church has the great responsibility of being a lighthouse for the Gospel (Psa. 119:130) and of declaring as fully and widely as possible the written Word of God (I Tim. 3:15; Mk. 6:34; Acts 5:28; II Tim. 4:2). For this reason here at Bethel we have sought to have a Through-the-Bible kind of ministry (Acts 20:27) where much is made of the Bible itself and where every attempt is made to present the Gospel to the lost.
In I Tim. 4:6 the Bible speaks of being nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine. Here then are the Doctrines taught and believed at Bethel Baptist Church. We begin with the Scriptures themselves:
